The Team at Paradox

The LogicLooM initiative was planned in October 2023 with the vision to provide a unique learning experience in the field of Machine Learning. There was always a clear gap in accessible, innovative ML events designed specifically for students with basic foundational knowledge. This realization sparked the creation of an event that would cater to students at all levels, from beginners to advanced, and aim to make learning engaging, educational and fun.

Key Goals:

  • Accessible Learning: The initiative sought to make machine learning approachable, avoiding overwhelming technical complexity.
  • Engagement: Focused on fostering a fun and supportive environment that encouraged students to explore ML.
  • Broad Participation: Aimed at building an inclusive space for students at various levels of expertise.

Success & Growth

The LogicLooM quickly became one of the most celebrated technical events at Margazhi’24 and Paradox’24 fest, receiving remarkable feedback and growing in popularity. Based on the overwhelming demand from students, the event was continued and successfully hosted at the Margazhi’25 and Paradox’25 editions, maintaining high registration and participation retention rates.

Impact

  • 2k+ Participants: The initiative engaged over 2000 students (as on Jun 2025), with positive feedback highlighting the value and accessibility of the event.
  • Esteemed Collaborators: We are grateful to have been joined by some of the leading professors from institutions such as IIT Ropar, IIT Gandhinagar - Creative Learning Lab and renowned industry experts.

Expansion Beyond LogicLooM

  • PAN BS Events: Beyond the primary competitions at Paradox, the initiative expanded its reach through PAN BS events. These included ML Challenges, beginner-friendly Python and ML tutorials, helping students take their first steps in AI and ML.
  • Foundational Support: These tutorials served as a key foundation for many students, particularly those with minimal prior exposure to machine learning, who considered it the ideal starting point for their ML journey.

EPOCHS - The e-Newsletter: We launched the e-newsletter EPOCHS, which showcased some of the best entries on topics such as AI-ML, Programming & Theoretical Computer Science.

A question we often receive is: “Why not turn this into a society?”: True, we have enough achievements (more than society :)) to apply for society status. Well, that’s something we’ve deliberately chosen not to do. As a core team, we firmly believe that transforming ML Series into a formal society would dilute the essence of what we’ve built. We didn’t set out to create a traditional society - we wanted something different & that has been successfully achieved with the love from the student community.

The passion behind every event is driven by the dedication of all our team members - cores to volunteers who are passionate & happy in contributing countless hours without certificates (that would’ve been applicable in a society), but because they want to create something meaningful for the community. The energy, enthusiasm and sense of purpose come from the genuine joy of delivering top-tier student-led events at our program. That’s what keeps the spirit alive - everyone in the team is here because they love it, not because they have to be. This commitment to quality and passion is what makes us try innovative pilot initiatives like creating a “creativity round” that took 3 months of planning! This is what makes LogicLooM and ML Series experience truly unique.

We’re committed to running initiatives and fostering this community for as long as our members are part of it - right up until they graduate. The website and resources will remain accessible to all, serving as a hub for future learners. If you’re a BS student reading this after 2026, we encourage you to carry the torch forward. Take on a goal, get involved and give back to the community by organizing impactful events.

Thank you!
