About The Event

Hi! I'm Iris, your intelligent buddy for LogicLooM - a thrilling e-contest designed to bring together the brightest minds in programming, artificial intelligence and machine learning. I promise that this unique event brings in a mentally invigorating experience, pushing all to solve intricate questions that test problem solving, critical and logical thinking skills, technical acumen and creativity. This will be an incredible opportunity for you to showcase your talents, learn from peers and celebrate the joy of solving complex problem statements. I'll ensure that questions are framed in a way that memorizing concepts isn’t a factor to excel here. Instead, basic knowledge and most importantly, the ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ is the key to being an achiever. So, you're diving into this journey with me, right?

Why Participate?

Iris: I'm dedicated in executing an event that should stand out for the quality, relevance and impact. My participants should leave with a sense of enrichment, having gained new insights while thoroughly enjoying the experience in their term break. LogicLooM is diverging from the mundane nature of typical academic contests and creating an environment where boredom is actually replaced by excitement and engagement.

F.A.Q

  • This is a PAN BS event. All students (regular & diploma-only) enrolled (i.e. having the student mail id) in the IITM Data Science or Electronic Systems (irrespective of the level) programme are welcome to register for our event.

  • Definitely. We highly encourage you to register for our event. One of our objectives is inclusivity. The questions will be designed in a way that cater to various levels of students of varying skill levels or coming from non-coding backgrounds, ensuring accessibility to beginners as well.
Also the cut-off percentile for Round1 will be different for FL students, taking into consideration, the difficulty factor and the performance statistics.
Pre-requisites: For the first round, foundation level knowledge, with basic programming skills should be fine. Proficiency in critical thinking, problem solving and ability to approach challenges creatively and analytically is the key! Having familiarity with fundamental concepts in AI and skills in technical domain will be a plus for the final round.

  • Please try signing into the Paradox portal using the IITM smail id only. This should resolve the issue.

  • This happens only when atleast one of the credentials is incorrectly entered. Please cross-check your smail address and number. Enter the number without any country code (Data has to match with the details submitted by you during registration). You must have entered the number wrongly in Paradox portal or must be entering it now in a different format (eg, had added +91 or 0 etc, before). We've filtered the international numbers and taken care while pushing the data to the server.
    Please write to logicloom@ds.study.iitm.ac.in immediately.

  • Absolutely, there's nothing to worry. The responses marked before the glitch occured, will be saved at the backend and evaluated by the auto-grader once the due time passes for your profile. It will be considered as a submission, provided all the integrity checks pass once processed by the system (Once the exam ends, all activity logs from the portal will be processed via our system. The entire process is automated. Any cases of discrepancies, mismatch, UFM will be tracked by our tool and will result in the failed checks, followed by the cancellation of your exam attempt and event participation)
Also, for any loading issues on the question screen (due to server load etc.), press the refresh icon on the exam screen.

  • No. Once you login, you will land on the waiting lounge where you can view the exam related instructions. There should be a 'Launch' button which will get auto-activated after the exam window gets live.
Clicking this button will only start the quiz and take you to the main questions page, which will be considered as your start time and you need to submit within 60 mins from then. Please refer to the live timer on the question screen.

  • No. You will have to finish the assessment on or before 23:59 IST (after which the attempt window will close). To utilise the complete assessment duration, you need to start the assessment latest by 22.59 IST. Otherwise, you’ll get less time to answer.
Edit: We are allowing this request.
Please go through the rule book and TnCs properly.

  • No. Once you start the exam, you have to complete it within the slot in the specified time limit. The maximum number of attempts will be set to 1.

  • Keep checking the notifications. As mentioned in the rulebook, once the first round ends, we will activate the window for the registrants who made a 'successful round1 submission' abiding by the rules and exam CoC. All such students will be able to view/download their Round1 performance summary card from the portal which may consist of their score, percentile and rank.

  • We suggest you to read the event Rule book (logicloom.netlify.app/rules) first, as everything has been explained there in detail.
Still, if you have any general questions or face technical issues, feel free to contact the Coordinators/organizers via mail at logicloom@ds.study.iitm.ac.in. We will try to reply back within one working day.
You may also contact our PR member at +91 7737861998.
